Implementing Student Accommodations
Faculty play a critical role in ensuring that registered accommodations are implemented in a timely and respectful manner. When you receive an accommodation memo from Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD), you are responsible for reviewing it carefully, maintaining student confidentiality, and working with the student and SSD as needed to provide the approved adjustments within your course.
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) partners with faculty to ensure students with disabilities have equitable access to courses, programs, and university activities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other applicable federal and state laws.
